The pub's name was changed to The Foinavon in 2019 as the 1967 Grand National winner was trained near the village of Compton. There are several spacious bar areas and one has a grand piano.

The pub reopened in May 2023 under new management.

There are plans to revert to the previous Compton Swan name at a later date.

The large beer garden includes an outdoor climbing frame / slide and swings. The sheltered area near the main entrance has piped music.
