The current management is much more real ale friendly than some of the previous managers. There is a very nice garden beside the river. The pub is still dominated by the large television screens showing football and this does tend to drive customers away. The outside has been repainted recently and it does smarten the place up. Food is available as Take-away as well as eat in.
