Fully refurbished in 2006 after a spell closed. This pub is still affectionately known as Maud's after the landlady who ran it for donkey's years. Now there are flagstone floors in a single bar set up, with a front garden. Sky Sports and BT Sport are shown in the bar on 2 large flat screens. Live music is played every Friday and the back garden includes gazebos, a smoking area, a marquee that can be booked free of charge, a kids area and picnic/beer tables. Beers and ciders are very reasonably priced and the 2 real ciders are very popular. Meat raffle on Sunday afternoons.
