Situated in the yard behind the larger Sportsman pub, this is a spacious community pub. At one side is a conservatory which is family friendly until 8.30pm. Several TVs show live sport, including one on the partially covered patio outside. The pub is close to Gloucestershire County Cricket Ground and not far from the Memorial Stadium which means it can be very busy on match days. Pizzas are available from 5pm-10.15pm on weekdays, 4pm-10.15pm on Friday and Saturday and 4pm-9.45pm on Sunday, when Sunday roasts are also served from noon to 4pm. Discounts are available on pizzas for students, and on both pizzas and pints for senior citizens. Up to four changing guest beers can include some interesting options. There is a quiz on Monday nights. No dogs are allowed, even on the patio.
